Welcome to Trusted Private Investigators. By accessing this website or retaining our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Services Provided

We provide professional investigation services including, but not limited to, surveillance, background checks, digital forensics, and infidelity investigations. All services are conducted in strict accordance with federal, state, and local laws.

2. Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information regarding your case.
  • Not use our services for any illegal purpose, including stalking, harassment, or obtaining information on protected individuals without legal justification.
  • Pay all retainers and fees as agreed upon in your specific service contract.

3. Payment & Retainers

A retainer is required before any investigation begins. This retainer is deposited into a client trust account and billed against at our hourly rate.

  • Refunds: Unused retainer amounts are refundable upon the conclusion of the case.
  • Additional Costs: Expenses such as travel, database access fees, and specialized equipment usage will be billed in addition to hourly rates.

4. No Guarantee of Outcome

Private investigations deal with unknown facts. We guarantee professional, diligent effort but cannot guarantee specific results or findings. You are paying for our time, expertise, and resources, not a guaranteed outcome (e.g., catching a spouse cheating).

5. Confidentiality

We maintain strict confidentiality regarding all client matters. However, we are mandatory reporters for certain crimes involving imminent physical harm or crimes against children.

6. Legal Compliance

We will not:

  • Wiretap phones (illegal under federal law).
  • Hack into social media or email accounts (illegal under CFAA).
  • Trespass on private property.
  • Obtain bank records without a court order or judgment.

Any request to perform illegal acts will result in immediate termination of the contract and forfeiture of the retainer.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trusted Private Investigators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State in which the investigation takes place, without respect to its conflict of laws principles.
